I'm going down in Mexico
Where the banditos and the bad guys go
Got my six gun by my side
Looking for someplace to hide
Where love pours like wine

Had me a wife and a happy home
Before the Civil War caused me to roam
I lost my home, I lost my wife
Only thing I want now is a life
Where love pours like wine

Day after day it's the same old thing
I gave up wondering what each day will bring
Day after day it's the same old show
Nailing down the coffin blow by blow

I been East and I been West
But South's still the place I love the best
I'll be back there some sweet day
But unbil then I'm gonna make my way
Where love pours like wine

3. Love Pours Like Wine
(McGowan) Back to the old days of Davy's blues system. Yes! I love those harps, slides and pretty much everything here. --Jore

This tune was on my minidisc for a long time before I thought up some words to go with it - then I discovered I would have to sing in almost falsetto because the key was so high. I was just glad to get it recorded and out of the way but I think it was worth doing -- Davy
